PART 1: INTRODUCTION
We call upon companies to submit a proposal events plan on running the Netball South Africa events.
PART 2: BACKGROUND
Netball South Africa (NSA) is the governing body for the sport of netball in South Africa, with the head office is located in Pretoria. Which is responsible for overseeing the practice of the sport across the country. Additionally, NSA is the managing body for the National Netball Team – the Spar Proteas. Since 1992, South Africa has participated in international tournaments primarily within the Commonwealth nations. With a strong grassroots network in schools and universities, netball in South Africa has taken on a more professional position with the introduction of the Telkom Netball League, and with many of the players plying their trade in England, Australia and New Zealand leagues. The mission of Netball South Africa is to connect young and old to the professional arm of the sport. We are committed to ensuring rules are fair, coaches are trained and accredited, and that all professional games are played according to global standards.
PART 3: SCOPE OF SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
3.1 SCOPE OF WORK
The proposal is for appointment of supplier to manage and co-ordinate the logistics and running of the events and tournaments over a 12-month period. The quote would need to be the monthly management fee you would propose for the following duties:
3.2 THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Prepare and manage the budget of the funding allocated to the events and tournaments
- Secure and book the venue for the events and tournament
- Compile a schedule detailing all logistical arrangements for the events and tournaments
- Secure and administer transportation for the competing teams
- Secure accommodation through the Southern Sun relationship
- Make hospitality and catering arrangements for dates on which the events and tournaments are staged.
- Secure and managing adequately qualified officials and match umpires for the events and tournaments
- Managing branding, transport, storage and co-ordinate branding set up during events and tournaments based on various sponsor requirements
- Manage the events and tournaments fixture schedule and timing with match officials
- Administer the appropriate sports kit, equipment, medals and trophies
- Secure medical services to attend each fixture
- Secure staff and volunteers to rend the required assistance for the duration of the the events and tournaments
- Secure NSA approved entertainment and activities during the events and tournaments
- VIP and media management during the events and tournaments
- Provide any services that may be required to ensure that the tournament is successful

- Prices must be quoted inclusive of VAT should be shown separately.
- The full price under the budget must be quoted in South African Rand (ZAR)
- Preparation costs
- The Bidder will bear all its costs in preparing, submitting and presenting any response or Tender to this bid. Furthermore, no statement in this bid will be construed as placing NSA, its employees or agents under any obligation whatsoever, including in respect of costs, expenses or losses incurred by the bidder(s) in the preparation of their response to this bid.
Applications
Netball South Africa aims to conclude the Request For Quotations by 15 January 2022. If an applicant has not received any feedback from the Organisation within two weeks of applying for the tender, the application was unsuccessful.
