RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To represent the NWC2023 Safety & Security Department and act on behalf of the NWC2023 Tournament Director.
  • Communication & coordination with all stakeholders and external entities with respect to the NWC2023 event, Competitions Venue, Team Hotels, Team Training Venues and all Safety & Security operations and across all assigned venues.
  • To review and align all cluster level planning against the matrix of responsibility as well as all contractual obligations included in the hosting agreement, relevant guarantees, and other agreements assigned to NWC2023 Safety & Security.
  • Create and update a detailed project management sheet indicating all key assigned tasks, dependencies against timelines while always incorporating contingency plans to minimize risks.
  • Interface with the NWC2023 Tournament Director / Event Safety & Security Planning Committee, Law Enforcement, State and Local agencies OR Relevant Function Representative wherever relevant for cluster-based security resource planning, while factoring in key government legislation and other NWC2023 compliance related information.
  • Contribute to the development and content of all documentation including planning documents, policies & procedures, report formats, run sheets, etc.
  • Prepare timely presentations and update the issue tracker for higher management with reference to all safety & security specific and security sensitive operations.
  • To develop and update all Dot Plans & Deployment Schedules and review/integrate all Access/Zoning Plans, Evacuation plans into the Safety & Security Operational Plans in line with the tournament planning and including any PMA specific requirements at the venue level.
  • To ensure readiness of Competitions Venue security teams monitoring requests and delivery of any supplementary operational resources including Accreditation access devices, Logistics, Equipment, Technology, Radios, VAPPs, Catering, etc.
  • Organize cross functional workshops/issue resolution working groups to address any outstanding items potentially impacting operational delivery as a part of the conflict resolution process.
  • Participate in the development of the communication & reporting model for venue-based security teams and administer any relevant communication channels ensuring a smooth exchange of information from the senior management to the venue level and vice versa.
  • Any other responsibilities as per the development of the project and functional area involvement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade A Security Officer, PSIRA Registered, Events Certified

EXPERIENCE:

  • Professional with 5+years of experience in the planning & implementation of Safety & Security at sports events/leagues and/or Major event Safety & Security experience at World Cup level.
  • Prior experience with accreditation, access management and security is an advantage.
  • Experience in liaising with state authorities, police, law enforcement forces and other related safety/law enforcement entities.
  • Strong track record in terms of leading diverse teams and resource/working in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to adapt to changing audiences.
  • Flexible working style with an ability to adapt to the changing project environment.
  • Strong analytical, collaborative, and problem-solving capabilities.

SKILLS:

  • Primary language: English fluency – spoken and written (mandatory)
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to understand architectural plans such as AutoCAD and other site plans.
  • Proven capability to work under pressure in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites as and when required.
