NETBALL SOUTH AFRICA JOINS FORCES WITH HOLLYWOODBETS

21 April 2022, Sandton – As soon as the whistle was blown for the start of the second quarter, Netball South Africa entered the court firing on all cylinders, as the month of April has been the busiest one for the federation, as far as announcements are concerned.

Netball South Africa announced their partnership with proudly South African sports betting operator, Hollywoodbets. The event showcased their purple passion as members of the media, netball administrators, players and sponsors were treated to exciting entertainment and a discussion around the joining of the two brands, hosted by sports broadcaster, Carol Tshabalala.

The two-year partnership between the parties will commence in April 2022 and will see Hollywoodbets as the official betting partner of Netball SA. Their well-recognised logo will now be displayed on all playing kit and on the court throughout the Telkom Netball League, as well as the Proteas matches.

“Our commitment since 2017 has been that we want to take netball back to the people and we believe that with Hollywoodbets we will be able to do so,” said Netball South Africa President, Cecilia Molokwane.

The company is familiar with women’s sport, as they are the headline sponsors of the SAFA National Women’s League, which is now known as the Hollywoodbets Super League.  They also sponsor the KZN women’s provincial cricket team and through their foundation offer support to grassroots women’s sport such as rugby, cricket and netball.

Apart from this new partnership with Netball South Africa, Molokwane concluded by saying “over and above this partnership, we will also be doing a lot of Corporate Social Initiative (CSI) and development projects with the Hollywood Foundation, linked to the development of this sport. This goes beyond us; we are going into our communities that have given us the amazing players that we currently have.”
