The biggest women’s sport in South Africa has received a timely boost as SuperSport have announced that they have acquired the exclusive broadcast rights for Netball for a further 5 years.

The deal will be a key role-player in improving the sport across all levels and provide NSA with significant support as they look to push their rivals England, Australia and New Zealand for that top ranking.

NSA CEO, Blanche De Le Guerre, explains how important this partnership is for them, “Renewing our contract with SuperSport has always been so key for us in terms of developing our players, they are the most professional broadcaster and allow our players exposure, brilliant coverage as well as the opportunity to learn to deal with the high-pressure environment of playing on live TV”

With NSA currently hosting Test Series’, the Brutal Fruit Netball Premier League, the Quad Series, the Spar Championships as well as SuperSport producing the magazine show Everything Netball, there really is a plethora of content being created for fans throughout the year.

Gideon Khobane, Chief Executive Officer for SuperSport, emphasised why SuperSport see this as such an important deal for them, “Netball is comfortably the biggest women’s sport in South Africa as well as Africa and NSA have been making big strides as a very professionally run federation, we want to be part of the next chapter as they push to be the best in the world as well as provide world class coverage to all the local fans as well as those on the continent!”
